We have finished unit 1 in grades 7 and 8. Grade 6 will finish at the end of the week. All grades have an ALEKS account. Each student has set a personal goal that they are working towards.
In the classroom the 7th graders are working on computing rational numbers. The Pre Algebra group is solving one step equations and inequalities. The 8th grade math group is working on multi-step equations and inequalities including word problems, and our Algebra group is working on problem solving with equations and inequalities in real world situations. The students did very well on their first performance assessment. Those who didn't do well will have an opportunity to fix and resubmit the task next week in their weekly contract.
